Sustainability is one of the six core functions of Plastics|SA, providing strategic leadership to the industry on sustainability issues.

South Africa like all countries, is experiencing a waste explosion driven by increasing industrialisation, increasing numbers of disposable products and a growth in product packaging, both manufactured and imported; and burying all this waste is not only becoming increasingly difficult and costly, but is also a lost opportunity.
